What is Energia?

Energia…the way the universe connects, is a contemporary figure skating ice show produced by the 66-year-old Holiday on Ice Productions. Energia is a show that connects the energies of us all. People have expressed Energia as such,

Energia is a completely original show in all the creative departments. The performers come from the vast corners of the world and bring their athletic and creative talent to the ice like no other ice show.

The music is completely original which is new for Holiday on Ice. www.holidayonice.com Its only other show with original music was when I created Xotika…Journey to the Heart in 1998. The composers, Rene Dupere, Ella Allard and Martin Ferguson come with an illustrious and successful history of the world-renown Cirque du Soleil.

The set Designer, Bart Clement, extra-terrestrial set was nominated for a TPI Award for large touring productions. Another good reason to check out Energia!

Theme

Our theme, ‘the more positive we are the more light energy we radiate’, is a journey of discovery for Energia’s comic leads, Ein and Stein who are quasi scientists, physicists and astronomers – and reflections of us all. They take the audience on a mystical journey of discovery to find ‘light energy’. -The energy that is at the centre of our being.

They are the weavers, the connectors of our story as they search, travel and discover different environments, emotional states and parts of the universe seeking to find, what is Light Energy! In the end, they find it.

Energia is for and about everyone and everything. It is playful, dramatic, dynamic, emotional and colourful. It features a talented international skating cast, unique costumes, brilliant lighting, and a set that is ‘extra‐terrestrial’.
